Thank you for the response. I tried your suggestions, including installing the 1703 version. In order to install that version I had to download the intel controller drivers to load during setup - FYI. This still did not resolve the issue so at this point I believe the hardware is to blame. If you don't have any other suggestions I will be looking to Lenovo for warranty repair.
