Awesome Essential SC4 Mods UPDATED..
it's been about 7 months since i compiled my list of super ultimate awesome essential sc4 mods which proved to be so helpful that it managed to sneak its way into the sidebar of this awesome subreddit. in the past 7 months, this place sure has grown.. by about 2000 mayors. no doubt this is due to the new simcity being announced. as a result, we have a lot of noobs and returning players.. so as a result, i've decided to recompile and update the list.

unfortunately, reddit has a character limit on these posts so i've decided to host the list through an external site. if you're new to the modding community, i highly suggest checking out my list, it's a great starting point. if you already know what you're doing, check it out anyway and let me know what you think. i'm open to suggestions, if you think i may have missed something, let me know and i will add it to the list.
EDIT!!! i want this to be a sort of community effort so like i said, i'm open to suggestions. if there's a mod you use that isn't on the list, let me know. if there's a favorite modder that has lots of cool content that i didn't list, let me know and i'll add them to the list. the benefit of hosting this list on a separate page is that i can always update it and add more stuff so i really would like to be constantly updating and expanding the list. i'm also thinking about doing a top 10 or 20 buildings/lots/bats list or something along those lines, but i haven't figured out just yet how i'm going to do it. i'm also wondering if i should break down the list into separate pages for each category of mods or if it should all be one page. your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Did you read the link guide though? There is heaps of extra info you will need to check in it, the bold txt was just n example of some.
For example: Brown Boxes and Dependencies If brown boxes marked with appear in your city in place of your download, then you know you are missing certain dependencies. Dependancies are extra little downloads, like textures or props, that are required to make the file work properly, that don't come with the main file. Make sure to always download them, or the custom content you downloaded may not work.
Dependencies are usually linked to in the README or Online Description of the thing you downloaded. Install them as you would anything else, by unzipping to My Documents/Sim City 4/Plugins. You will also need to download the Official Maxis Props, bldgpropvol1.dat and bldgpropvol2.dat. The links to those files / dependancies are in that guide.
